How to Be Good - Nick Hornby

I don't really know how to feel about this book. It was an all-time favourite of one of my friends, who just kept talking about the book until I promised I would read it, so perhaps my expectations were just a bit to high. Especially when I'm told it's going to be funny...

I've read that feelings are very mixed on this book, even the fans of Nick Hornby. I've never read any of his other books, so I'm not able to compare them, but most people seem to think this is one of his lesser works. It even features is lists like 'Book I regret reading'.

I don't think it was that bad. I liked the premise, and the story was OK, just not as good/funny/witty as I had expected it to be. I quite liked the writing, but I felt like something was missing.
