Blueeyedboy - Joanne Harris

I received a free copy of the Dutch translation for a group read on www.ezzulia.nl . Thank you!

This is the first book I read by Joanne Harris. I'd obviously heard a lot about others books by her - mainly Chocolat. This isn't like Chocolat at all, or so I'm told.

This is a very complicated story, told mainly from a online diary, which makes it a bit hard to follow what is true and what isn't? Near the end of the story it gets even more complicated as it is very hard to follow who every character precisely is.

The writing was OK, but it felt to me as if some 'thrilling' part in it was missing. It was more a novel with a little bit psychological suspense in it than a real thriller, in my own opinion.

Note: I read a Dutch translation of this book
