Manga Classics: Jane Eyre - Charlotte Brontë

Believe it or not, but I only recently became accustomed with the complete story of Jane Eyre. For some reason, it was completely glossed over in school and I never read it, or even watched a movie. The crazy wife in the attic part, however, I was aware of, as I think is everyone, whether they want to or not.

I’ve been reading the manga classics as they are being published and overall I’ve quite enjoyed them. For myself they do not replace the original works, but more act as an interpretation, as you would also watch a movie adaptation (they would also take about the same time, as manga makes for easy and fast reading). For people who would be less inclined to actually read the classics, I think it is a perfect way to get to know the stories. I liked this adaptation of Jane Eyre, the drawings and style are as I’ve come to expect them and the main points of the story, as far as I’m able to judge this, are conveyed well through the manga.

A nice reading experience. Would recommend.
