My own cooking using the microwave has so far been very limited: heating leftovers. But since I usually cook just for myself (as a student), the idea of easy, fast, one-person recipes was a very attractive one.
The book looks wonderful, there are a lot of pictures showing the recipes, which I as a not so experienced cook always really appreciate. The recipes usually seem quite easy. It did feel like there was some cheating because many of the meals need ingredients you first have to cook, like rice, meat or pasta. I'd hoped for all microwave recipes, because if I'm already using a pan, why not cook everything 'the normal way'?
This said, the recipes looked awesome. Especially the dessert-section :). I've tried one recipe so far, the Hawaiian-Style Pineapple Fried Rice (but not in the microwave) and that taste really good!
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
