How long is a piece of string? is the follow up to Why do buses come in threes? , which I also read recently and enjoyed. This book like the first one was really interesting, dealing with more subjects I'd never really given a thought. 

 

It presents maths in a (most of the time) easy and understandable way, without patronizing the readers. Some subjects are, of course, more interesting than others. But they will give you some new things to talk about at dinner/ a party =) Because, exactly how long is a piece of string?
